The movement of air in and out from under metal dome array is called “venting” and it is important to have so the snap dome functions properly. Lack of venting between domes can cause adverse effects on the feel and function of the switch.
Venting metal dome array is crucial in order for snap dome to feel the way it was intended. There are a variety of ways to vent a metal dome:
1. Venting betwwen snap domes under the array;
2. Venting on the top;
3. The air hole on the PCB.
